Create a media launch event that would capture the breadth of Fox Sports' ad-free channel, provide a platform to present the new brand campaign, engage the media in publicising the winter sport season and simultaneously create compelling content designed to build awareness of the channel amongst Australian sports fans.
In launching a new sporting era, it seemed appropriate to launch the channel within a new Sydney precinct: The Cutaway at Barangaroo: a cultural centre incorporated within the newly landscaped harbour foreshore.
We asked well-known Fox Sports ambassadors to kick, pass, or hit a ball into our Fox Sports target - but they weren't allowed to choose a ball from their own speciality. Never have so many past and current Australian Sporting stars been in the same arena at one time to promote Australia’s number one sports broadcaster.
Fox Sports picked up additional media coverage outside of their own channel including print, online and TV. The Fox Sports CEO labelled the event the best execution he had seen during his time at Fox Sports.
